WHO WE ARE
Alfred Groves & Sons Ltd is a family owned business in Milton-under-Wychwood established in 1660
Nestled in the beautiful surroundings of the Cotswolds between Burford and Chipping Norton our architecturally rich yard comprises of around 40 diverse individual traders and businesses. Builders, beauticians, bakers and joiners work alongside our large well equipped DIY shop to meet the needs of the Wychwood community. Come and enjoy our cafes, French interiors shop and meet the craftsmen and artists who set this place apart!

Often referred to as the Aladdin’s cave, Groves Shop bursts with around 9000 products making it a large playground for any maker who is looking to turn their hands to any size project. Whether you are a keen gardener, bird lover, a professional builder, a DIY enthusiast, a painter or a family looking to do home improvements, we can help!

This historical building was most likely built around 1900. A time where Groves was the biggest supplier of elm in the country. The windows are extraordinary and although old and weathered, the wood used then is still holding up!! No rot, not porous in any way. Pure craftsmanship- a joy to see - something we take pride in looking after. If you are about, check out the way the panes of the windows slot together. Quite something!
